Narrow Loops Fly Casting Lessons

I offer casting lessons to beginners, intermediate casters who want to take their casting to the next level, and advanced casters who need to tweak their casting just a bit.

At first, I will ask my client to make several casts adjacent to a tape I have stretched out on the ground.  I then note the average distance he or she can cast without any guidance.  Then we begin to assess their casting form and mechanics.  I will only attempt to correct one or possibly two casting errors in the first session.  We will then make a note of how much the client has improved.  The first lesson should not be more than one hour in length, as individuals get tired and their casting will be negatively affected.

I prefer to work with individuals one-on-one, but can work with 1-3 persons at a time.  I prefer not to have more than three in a group, as individual attention is so important.

Casting lessons can be done wherever there is a nice mowed grassy area without overhead obstructions. (Typically, you need a minimum of 120 feet for the back cast and forward cast)

We typically do not do casting lessons on the water.  Locations I use include Oil Creek State Park and Franklin at Riverfront Park, just off Ninth Street, with various athletic fields available.
